ArTown is July 1st through July 31st. There are many special events throughout town during the month of July. Three special events involve Zephyr Books staff and/or location.

During the month of July, all art and photography books will be 20% off to help celebrate ArTown.

On July 16th at 7pm, owner Ivye Johnson will be on stage at Bartley Ranch with The Reno Pops Orchestra performing Sports Spectacular with several of our favorite sports musical selections.

And last, but not least, don't forget about the MidTown Nights Art Walk on July 29th 5-9pm with several MidTown Merchants staying open to host various local artists. Larry Neel Photography will have a show at Zephyr Books, plus a coffee tasting with Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee Company and local musician Tumbleweed Tex will bring his guitar and play and sing for us during the evening.

We are participating in an Art Walk on July 29th from 5pm-9pm with artists joining us in our neighborhood stores to show their works and provide musical entertainment. Hopefully there will be a live demonstration of glass blowing and other exciting things are in the works. More info on this exciting event can be found at www.midtownartsproject.com. Zephyr Books will be host to a photographer and have a Coffee Tasting with local roaster Tim of Woodfire Roast Coffee Company. He is planning to break out one of the flavors we serve here so you can taste the two flavors separate, then as the blend. Plus offer one of the other blends we serve here to taste and compare. He will also give a short talk on how the process of roasting and blending is done in his shop (which is right here in Reno).
